Greetings, Citizens of the Vale!
It’s been a while! Far too long, in fact. For those of you who don’t remember me, I’m Rille, an officer of the guild Embervale that you once called home.
Things definitely got quiet… for a while. A really long while. I won’t make excuses or try to justify it, just that we as your leadership dropped the ball and weren’t there for you. We promised you a family and didn’t own up to that promise. For that I, and the rest of the team, are truly sorry.
I am writing you today with happier news: we’re back! After a lot of planning, discussion, and work, we are now relaunched and ready for what WoW has in store next!
What we’re doing differently this time:
- Better delegation of duties among leadership to prevent burnout
- Greater accountability within the leadership team
- A more defined leadership structure (a single Guildmaster and officer team vs the council of GMs)
- A clearer, more concise vision of what we want to be
In honor of this new beginning, we have a new name: Embervale is now known as Seventh Dawn! We felt that a name change was vital to moving forward as a way to let go of the past and embrace a new future. We specifically chose “Seventh Dawn” as a way to signal a new day, formed by the six members of the leadership team and always with room for one more.
In the same vein, I’m pleased to announce that I, Rille, am now your GuildMaster! I’m honored to be given this opportunity to lead such a community of amazing people. I will do my very best to ensure that I live up to this privilege. We hold no hard feelings for anyone who went elsewhere after Embervale died down. To anyone who was previously a citizen of Embervale: you are welcome here. If you are interested in rejoining our family as Seventh Dawn, please let us know!
